In a bizarre collaboration that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the formal release, "A strange meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret group.

The questline centers on "strange trials and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Transformations

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana alongside several objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also introduces the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma."
